Next Stage Housing Helps Create…

A Fresh Start!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of picking up Paul to take him to his new home at Homes of Hope.

We have known Paul for a few years now from when he first met Operation Joy workers on the streets of Manchester when he was homeless. They managed to find him a flat through the local authority but, despite the best efforts of them and Cath from the Next Stage housing project, Paul was unable to maintain his tenancy, eventually leaving his flat and the area to stay at his sister’s.

Whilst there, he attended the drop in at Ashton which, unknown to him, was run by Manchester City Mission. Cath spoke to him about his housing need and what the best options would be for him. Paul agreed that a supported housing place was what he needed and wanted, so an application was made to Homes of Hope.

Following his interview, he was offered a place and this week he has moved in.

Paul looked so happy on the day of his move and said that he was nervous and excited and looking forward to learning how to cook! We are so blessed to see the way the Lord has led him- that, even though we lost contact for a while, God knew exactly where he was and sent him back in our direction.

Pray with us that he will be richly blessed and that he will experience God’s restoration in his life as he lives at Homes of Hope. We are excited to see what God has planned for him.
