Time To Relax, Thought Paul..

Then he Received A Call-ing!

Paul thought it would be a quiet evening at home, but one phone call late in the afternoon changed all that. It was T explaining that after four months since being evicted from where she and two children had been living they were now being put in a guest house. This was something that T had been crying out for and should lead to a better outcome now that she was in the system. However, they were short of food . Paul and his wife Angie decided to get some of the items from the food store at Bethel Church.

They arrived at the church to find a Hungarian man sat outside; he didn't seem to be in particular need. However, on leaving the building they found that he had been joined by a Turkish man and C, one of Paul's regular contacts. She asked if this was the place where Paul and Angie attended church; they confirmed that it was and they went on to remind C that she had attended an event there one Saturday about 4 years ago. C asked for a bible, so Paul and Angie went back into church for a New Testament, Psalms & Proverbs and drew C's attention to the helpful bible verses at the front. C said she would read some when she got back to her flat.

It was then on to the guest house where Paul told T that now she is properly in the system they will be better placed to have more appropriate accommodation. We had provided T with a bible in her first language, but this was lost during the eviction. Paul will provide her with another one. A busy night after all, but much to give thanks for.
