Working One to One With Prisoners.

Part One.

Assessment Care in Custody and Teamwork (ACCT) is the prison service care plan used for prisoners identified as being at risk of self-harm or suicide. These inmates receive regular monitoring visits from prison staff, mental health workers and chaplains. I always make a point of familiarising myself with these more vulnerable people. Reviews with the inmates on the ACCT care plan take place at regular intervals and part of the chaplains duty is to provide support and input at such reviews. Once all team members are satisfied the inmate is no longer at risk the ACCT document can be closed.

I feel tremendously blessed and privileged to have been given such a role and ask that you please pray for these vulnerable inmates and the teams overseeing their care, and please pray that I will be given more opportunities to minister to all concerned.
