Happy New Year!!

A Catch Up From Over Christmas and New Year With Operation Joy...

  1. A week before Christmas Paul found himself driving to Manchester as his wife and her brother were due to be at the theatre, and almost all the trains had been cancelled. He parked up near Piccadilly station and was able to do Outreach for the evening. It was encouraging to see E as a result. She explained that since Paul last saw her she had been in prison. Whilst there she lost her WWJD bracelet, so Paul was able to send her another one along with a Christmas card in the post The evening proved very encouraging and Paul was on hand to pick up his passengers again and drive back to Bolton.
  1. Over the past couple of years many invitations had been given to N, who Paul meets regularly in Bolton town centre, to come into a service or the coffee morning. Though she has passed the church where Paul & Angie attend many times she had never come in. It was very encouraging, therefore, to see N come into the lobby while Paul was on duty there on Christmas morning. At the end of the service she went to greet Angie and also met the pastor. That was one big step for N and we hope she'll feel confident about coming in again.
  1. On the Friday after Christmas Paul received a phone call from one of the women he meets on the streets of Manchester; using her sister's phone, she wanted to wish Paul and his wife a Happy New Year but went on to say that a family friend was in the MRI on life support. Paul promised to pray about the situation and was told he would be kept informed.
