Birthdays, Coincidences and Football.

God’s timings are always perfect, here we are reminded that “our times are in His hands” (Psalm 31:15). Here Paul recognises that all events and circumstances are under God’s sovereign control.

“C is often asking me to prove that I know his date of birth in front of his mates. This week he asked me to recite it in front his friend D. This prompted D to share her date of birth with me. I said I would remember it because it is the same date that I will be speaking in church later this year, and the year was one when Bristol Rovers got promotion.”

“D told me she had been reading the book of Matthew in her Bible that morning and I was able to offer her a WWJD bracelet. D immediately worked out what it represented, providing plenty to build on next time we meet.”
