Social And Spiritual Care; Delivered On The Streets?
With God ALL things are possible!
L has featured in a number of previous stories particularly in connection with the need to attend court. Paul wanted to ensure that she made it for her second appearance by providing another train ticket to get there. He also needed to track her down as it wasn't clear where L was living. L was found outside a local shop, but she wasn't sure what day her case was in court. Having contacted the solicitor Paul received a call back in the evening to confirm it. Arrangements had been made to meet L the following day at the train station with the intention of getting a ticket in advance of the day, but she did not show up. However, L had given Paul the address of her hostel so the following day he made his way there. He gave the staff two envelopes; one with the tickets and a note to confirm the court date, and in the other a birthday card for L's birthday which was due shortly. They were interested in what the MCM does. While speaking with L's support worker L heard Paul's voice and came down to reception. The next time Paul saw L it was outside that shop again. She had made it to court and her case is adjourned for 4 weeks. L has said that the prayers people are praying for her appear to be working. Her birthday being remembered will make her feel more cared for as well.
Please pray with us for the street population in all our towns and cities.
